Greyhound racing is still a very popular sport in the UK and therefore pet lovers believe the dogs are a demanding breed which results in many of them being left in rescue centres longer than other breeds.
But according to the experts this could not be further from the truth. They say greyhounds make excellent family pets because they have affectionate and patient temperaments. Retired greyhounds only need two twenty minute walks a day, love company and are good indoors.
