..they didn't open Monty's portrait until after the wedding as
they didn't want to end up in tears!
....they were 'chuffed to pieces' with the portrait, and have hung
him so that he can look out of the lounge window (Monty's favourite
spot was in the window!) So thank you so much for your lovely
portrait, you've immortalized Monty for them, and made a very special
couple very happy.

MONTY
Monty was born on 19th February 2001 and was one of a litter of 12,
of which Monty was the runt. When we first saw him he was wobbly on
his legs and considerably smaller than his brothers and sisters, but
within seconds of holding him he was asleep in our hands and that
was it, he had to be ours !!!
He filled our hearts with love and our home with mischief and he
took ill. Slowly but surely several blood tests, scans and biopsies
later our little boy was diagnosed with kidney failure, and an incurable
one at that. We along with medical professionals did all that we
could to save his little life, however, on 2nd February 2001 our
little boy was allowed to sleep and finally be pain free. Not a
day goes by that we don’t miss him and thanks to two very
special people, Nicola and Pete Carlin and one very special artist,
Sally Logue our Monty has been captured in pastel and sits pride
of place in our living room, looking out of the window, his favourite
place. In memory of my beautiful little boy, thank you for coming
in to our life and filling it with unconditional love, and thank
you for getting me through the rough times.
forever yours
