Samoyed make popular and attractive pets,
they have a very dense white coat, giving the appearance of a soft cuddly
bear.
Samoyeds originate from the 1600's and
were first used for herding reindeer in the Arctic. More recently used
by Antarctic explorers ( Scott and Amundsen) as sledge dogs.
